The Texas Redfish Tournament Series was created by Jim Elrod and Scot Simmons. The Texas-style tournament is one of the only redfish tournaments that calls for the use of artificial lures only, allows wade fishing, and takes place solely on the fantastic Texas Gulf Coast. In 2007, the successful three year old tournament had 155 teams fish the series - with over 300 anglers.
This year, Captain Pevey's team “Team Shallow Water” earned 25th place over all in the Texas Redfish Series.

The team proudly supports breast cancer awareness efforts dedicated to advancing access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer.
